So I finally bought myself a new camera lens! I'm embarrassed to say that I've been using the kit lens these past three years (I'm still a novice!). Honestly, I didn't know a new lens could make such a big difference (I thought I would have to buy a whole new camera, thank god I didn't have to). So after doing some research I decided to go with 50mm 1.8 for my Canon Rebel. It definitely was within budget (only $110) and already I'm noticing a huge difference in my photos. I still need to mess around with it some more to get used to it (there's no zoom), but so far I'm pretty happy with it. These were just some photos I took this week here in San Diego and down in Tecate, Mexico at Rancho La Puerta. By the way, the cat is Gizmo and is up for adoption if you live in the San Diego area...he's adorable.
