I've been using Rejuva's mineral powder foundation for about four months now, which I love.  It's totally non toxic and earned a rank of "0" for toxicity on Skin Deep (which is the best score).  What I love even more though is liquid foundation!  I just really, really like to have that soft glow to my skin which powder foundation doesn't really provide.  Unfortunately, Rejuva doesn't make liquid foundation, so I decided to just try to make my own...and it worked!

It's super easy...all you do is pour a little bit of your powder foundation on a little tray.  Then add a couple drops of an organic oil such as sesame oil or in my case I used olive oil.  Just a couple drops does the trick and then mix with your finger and apply.  It feels like real liquid foundation...plus, it's totally non toxic when you use the Rejuva brand.  For more info on why I use Rejuva, check out this link.

If you're new this site or my view on skincare, then you might be wondering why in the world I would want to put oil on my face.  Well, I've been using organic oils in my skincare routine on a daily basis now for about three years and my skin has never been more balanced.  Using organic oils has totally changed my view on what skincare should be.  I used to have extremely oily skin when I was younger which of course, I tried to cure by using soap or facial wash for oily skin, and nothing worked!  It was so frustrating, I can't even tell you.  Now I use organic coconut oil and olive oil and my skin just soaks it in and leaves a slightly dewy look.  I couldn't recommend doing this more.  I used to wash my face with honey (more about that here), which is a great way to ween yourself off of using soap and synthetic facial washes.  Now, I've just been using coconut oil as my face wash and rinsing it off with cold water...amazingly it feels even more balanced.

There's so much more on organic skincare that I will be getting into on this site.  I plan on doing an e-course in the near future on how to create your own organic skincare routine.  It will change your life!  It has changed mine in so many positive ways, not only how my skin looks and feels, but also being more aware of how I live my life and what I put into my body.

So that said :), it seemed only natural to me to use another organic oil to create liquid foundation out of powder.  I am so pleased with the results!  Remember, a few drops go a long way!  Enjoy and be safe!

I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend :)

xoxo...Kate
